whenever the warm season begins, we are drawn back to Zeeland – more precisely, to our own holiday home in Nieuwvliet-Bad. In this travel report, we take you along on our personal summer holiday and show you why this corner of the Netherlands is the most beautiful place in the world to us.

🪵 Our Pride and Joy: The Holiday Home at Zeedijk 24-533

For us, this house in Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad is not just a property, but our ultimate place of well-being. As soon as we arrived this summer, the stress of everyday life instantly melted away.
When designing the space, we put a high value on plenty of room and maximum privacy. The absolute highlight in summer is our large, detached garden, which offers a completely unobstructed, panoramic view directly into the countryside.
☕ In the morning: Start with a coffee on the terrace and listen to the birds.
🪵 In the evening: Kick back in absolute privacy after a long day at the beach.
🚗 Comfort: No tedious lugging of suitcases or searching for a parking spot – your private parking space is located right at the house.
 

🏖️ Pure Beach Bliss: Spacious, Quiet, and Refreshing

 
The best part about the location of our house? You are just a few minutes’ walk from the sea. The path there is a nature experience in itself: you stroll across a beautiful, idyllic wooden bridge right through the protected dune landscape.
At the end of the path, a dream beach awaits you. Even though we were there in the middle of the summer holidays, the beach in Nieuwvliet-Bad always shows its best side: it is so spacious that it never feels overcrowded, even during peak season. You can always find a quiet, undisturbed spot.

What would a holiday in Holland be without great food? The beach pavilions directly on our stretch of coast are modern, stylishly decorated, and offer pure holiday vibes.
We made full use of the summer evenings to feast our way through the menus. Right at the top of our list of favorites:

🚴‍♂️ Active on the Coast: Cycling the Kustroute & a Trip to Sluis
Even though it is beautiful in the garden of our house, we are naturally drawn to exploring the surrounding area in summer:
🌾 Through the Dunes by Bike: The Kustroute
The beautiful “Kustroute” (Coast Route) starts right on our doorstep. The perfectly maintained cycle paths lead directly behind or even along the top of the dunes. With the wind in your face and a constant view of the North Sea, every bike ride is pure relaxation.
 

🛍️ Strolling and Shopping in Charming Sluis

For a day trip, we always recommend the charming neighboring town of Sluis to our guests. Sluis captivates visitors with its historic atmosphere, old canals, and a lively shopping street. It is a wonderful place to browse through boutiques, buy souvenirs, and enjoy the sweet life in one of the many cafes.
